About

My experience is in building brands through big ideas that connect emotionally with our target consumers, drive purchase intent and loyalty. These ideas have been executed successfully in digital, emerging and traditional media, in packaging, interactive store experiences, and visual identity systems.

I've been fortunate to serve as executive creative director for some amazing Fortune 500 brands, start-ups and agency partners. Through that I've gained extensive experience building teams, and learned how to retain top talent in a fast-changing environment. I know well that great creative work is built on trust and respect for the talent and contributions of many - experienced creatives, interns, business partners and clients, too.

I've asked colleagues what they see as my greatest strength, and the answer is pretty consistent: equal parts strategic and creative. The second thing they usually say is that I genuinely care about people. I think that's because I make a real effort to listen. I really want to know what people think, and enjoy a healthy debate.

One last thing: I've been happy to volunteer extensively with my son's elementary schools in California and New York. It's been a good way to keep my technical skills fresh, and to build lasting friendships with people outside the professional world. Our son is now in high school, but my partner and I continue to serve on the board of Blue Rock School in West Nyack, NY, because we believe their work really matters in the world.
